Talent Award 2011

Six hopeful talents had come to the talent award finals where the jury had to pick out the two winners.
Christian LeBlanc Thilsted, a visionary entrepreneur
The first winner from the category with contestants from companies with over 250 employees was Christian LeBlanc Thilsted, 32, from DONG Energy. Being responsible for the research and development department on offshore foundations, Christian Thilsted has showed great initiative and visionary thinking and as a result achieved remarkable output.
Charlotte Pontoppidan Vest, member of the jury, stated that the selection of Christian Thilsted was due to his commitment on developing next generation wind power as well as his technical abilities on a very complex theoretical area. Furthermore, she continued, Christian has showed good managerial understanding.
Jan Weier, the will to make a difference
In the category for contestants from companies with fewer than 250 employees, Jan Weier, 30, from Sapa Profiler A/S won. Jan Weier is Key Account Manager and has excelled in creating a strong international corporation with new customers in the industry, e.g. Vestas.
Charlotte Pontoppidan Vest described Jan Weier as an ambitious initiator that continuously thrives to be the best at what he does. He is very persistent in his dream on revolutionising the way modern nacelles are built today. Jan always thinks large scale, and he has a global outlook that has secured him many international contacts, including a global account at Vestas Wind Systems, she said.
Both winners received a check of 30.000 DKK (4000 euros) to the Danish Centre for Leadership.
